Leading by Example: Partnering to Make a Difference

At Rich & Gardner, we take great pride in building meaningful partnerships with companies that understand the importance of improving their communities through the design, development, and construction of their projects. The impact our projects have on the surrounding communities, environment, and our other partnerships allow for our finished projects to make a positive difference.

Collaboration with our partners allows us to do better than we have done before, and it is through our collaborations with these partners that we are able to take projects seamlessly from concept inception to grand opening.

Partnerships Designed to Better Communities

One of the most impactful ways Rich & Gardner is giving back to its communities is through our partnerships with companies looking to make a positive difference in the world. We enjoy partnering on projects that better our communities, whether that be building a women’s health center, affordable and safe housing for domestic abuse victims, or electric charging infrastructures. We believe that in order to make a difference, we must be the difference.

Oneida Health Women’s Health Building

Back in 2021, we were lucky enough to partner up with Oneida Health to design and construct their new Women’s Health building, which will provide a wide range of medical services to women. By partnering with Oneida Health, we get to be a part of their longstanding history while making a difference that will have lasting impacts on the surrounding communities.

In building this center, thousands of women will benefit from it, having easier access to medical services tailored specifically to their needs. Through this project, it is our goal to emphasize the importance of having easily accessible women’s health clinics available throughout the country.

We are truly honored to be a part of Oneida Health’s journey in expanding their services through the completion of the women’s health building, and to partner in their mission to “plan, promote, provide and coordinate the highest quality progressive and comprehensive health care services for the greater Oneida area and surrounding communities.”

Grace Brown House and Christopher Community, Inc.

Another substantial partnership we built in 2021 was with Grace Brown House and Christopher Community, Inc, to provide safe, affordable, and accessible housing to women and their children who are at risk or experiencing homelessness due to domestic violence situations in Cortland County. The finished project will create 25 additional apartments which will be available to the women and children in need of refuge.

This partnership aims to develop more safe spaces, as oftentimes women and their children who have faced domestic abuse fall homeless due to the lack of resources available to help them. By building this apartment complex, we, along with the Grace Brown House and Christoper Community Inc., hope to change the lives of those currently facing homelessness due to domestic abuse for the better, giving them a chance to get back on their feet and regain a sense of safety and control.

Our goal for this complex is to reinstill hope and independence where it may have been previously lost and to encourage those facing domestic abuse to feel secure enough to leave with the reassurance that there is a safe place for them with the Grace Brown House.

Increasing Sustainability Through Partnerships

Our most recent partnership works to improve our communities by focusing on providing sustainable options to our clients, benefiting them and the environment simultaneously.

Livingston Energy Group

Thanks to Livingston Energy Group, we are thrilled to be able to offer quality electric charging infrastructures for Electric Vehicles (EV) on all future projects. By partnering with companies such as Livingston Energy Group, we continue to play a key role in sustainable construction.

Our partnership with Livingston Energy Group offers our clients a unique opportunity to incorporate the charging infrastructure into their initial project designs, meaning that they won’t have to worry about adding this feature after the fact. It is our responsibility to ensure that all of our projects incorporate sustainable elements that benefit both our clients and the environment, and it’s thanks to our partners’ commitment to environmental sustainability that we are able to achieve this.

What’s Next?

The partnerships highlighted above are only a few of the many Rich & Gardner has developed over the years, and yet they speak volumes about our commitment and dedication to bettering the community. It is deeply rooted in our mission and core values to want to make a difference in the world, and with each exceptional partnership we develop, and every new project we take on, we are able to do just that.
