Rich & Gardner Partners with Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists to Transform Their SOS Hand Clinic’s Existing Space

As a construction company, Rich & Gardner’s construction teams are often required to perform complex manual labor tasks related to their jobs, which is why having a team with fully functional hands and wrists is a necessity. In the case that a team member suffers an injury to their hand or wrist, it’s essential that they are able to visit an up-to-date medical facility where an orthopedic hand specialist can address and properly treat the injury.

That’s where the SOS Hand Clinic comes in.

With their commitment and dedication to providing exceptional patient care, the team of specialists at the SOS Hand Clinic decided it was time for their existing space to undergo a complete renovation in order to better meet the needs of their staff and patients.

Thanks to past partnerships between Rich & Gardner and the SOS team, Rich & Gardner was tasked with transforming the clinic’s existing medical space into a new and up-to-date medical facility that would continue to promote the SOS Hand Clinic’s superior care model.

Renovating the SOS Hand Clinic

Located at 5719 Widewaters Parkway, Syracuse, NY, the SOS Hand Clinic’s renovations began on December 1st, 2021, and were underway for nine months before they concluded on September 1st, 2022.

Partnerships: Working with the Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists

For those who don’t know, the SOS Hand Clinic is one of the Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists’ many healthcare center locations. It is led by a team of board-certified, fellowship-trained, and award-winning orthopedic hand specialists, wrist doctors, and arm specialists. Their team is trained to treat various hand and wrist conditions, from carpal tunnel syndrome to osteoarthritis of the hand, and provide those in need with hand therapy for conditions such as fractures, dislocations, burns, and frostbite.

Rich & Gardner first partnered with the Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists (SOS) in 2020, when Rich and Gardner was tasked with building a compounding lab and pharmacy for a tenant of the Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists. Throughout the past project, a relationship was developed between Rich & Gardner and the Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists, and following the success of the completed project, the relationship evolved into a continuing partnership. This ongoing partnership is part of the reason that Rich & Gardner was offered the opportunity to renovate the SOS Hand Clinic.

The ultimate goal of the entire SOS team, including the SOS Hand Clinic, is to ensure that their patients get the high-quality and compassionate care they deserve to live happy and healthy lives. They validate this mission through their extensive community involvement, some of which include raising over $20,000 for the United Way of CNY, sponsoring the Food Bank of Central New York, Onpoint for College and supporting community causes like Meals on Wheels of Syracuse.

This mission, paired with the SOS team’s desire to make their local community a better place, is part of the reason Rich & Gardner first partnered with SOS, as every project they collaborate on will benefit the community by improving the quality and availability of healthcare services. Since the initial partnering, Rich & Gardner and SOS have maintained a wonderful relationship built on their shared values, goals, and mission to make their communities the best they can be.

What’s Next?

And it was these nine months that fully solidified Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists as a fantastic partner to Rich & Gardner and the Syracuse. Rich & Gardner would like to thank SOS for the opportunity to collaborate on such an exciting project that will continue to benefit the community for years to come.
